Fridays during the School Year: An Opportunity for our Children and our Community

In Salida, Friday is a day when many working and non-working parents are looking for worthwhile activities for their children and when kids have time on their hands and can be attracted to things they see as fun and useful.

Economists and other experts tell us that our children will have to compete for jobs in a global marketplace that will put a premium on education far more than we, their parents and grandparents, experienced. Providing enrichment opportunities for Salida’s children is a way this community can help better prepare them. The more experience, the better!
