Press Release
"What About Salida?," a video produced by Support Our Schools, Salida is being introduced in January, 2004. The "good news" ten minute film about the Salida community and its school has been two years in the making. Primarily designed to attract families to the Salida R-32 School District, the video clearly communicates an ideal small town lifestyle with citizens who care about and support their schools.
SOSS hopes to raise funds for worthwhile school projects through the sale of the movie CD and by selling a limited number of advertising banners on the film. It is hoped that this video will help other organizations such as the Salida Chamber of Commerce in their new resident and business recruitment efforts. "What About Salida" should prove a valuable employee recruitment tool for every business in town, in addition to the school district. SOSS will notify the public when it is broadcast on the local Bresnan cable channel in the near future.
With the help of High Country Bank, we
provided
a computer and editing software for the Middle School
Media Program ($2000).
We'd like to thank Kat Jackson at Dakota's Bistro Restraunt for
helping SOSS in our funraising efforts.
