Summer in Salida

Take a break from the oppressive heat and humidity of the south and the east coast, the dry heat of the midwest and experience a summer in the Heart of the Rockies. Compared to the former, summer in the Upper Arkansas Valley is relatively cool and dry. Sure, the thermometer may register an occasional temp in the mid 90's, but glorious nighttime readings in the 40's keep things cool.
